India beat Thailand in Sylhet on Thursday by 74 runs and entered the women’s Asia cup final. Thailand could only score 74 for 9 in their allotted 20 overs while chasing 149 to win.

Nattaya Boochatham and the captain Naruemol Chaiwai both scored 21 runs for Thailand. As for the Indian bowlers, Deepti Sharma was the best with a 3 for 7 record.

India scored 148 for six, after they called first to bat. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur scored 42, while Jemimah Rodrigues and Shafali Verma each added 36 and 27.

Thailand never had a chance of achieving the mark as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals but compared to their previous league match against India, where they were routed by nine wickets, the Thai ladies performed significantly better.
